November 13 - Decks

We have decks!!! The front & back decks need to be built prior to the installation of the roof trusses as they are both structural. Mission accomplished.

 

Here's the front deck. We will be finishing the deck with a composite material (TREX) and subsequently won't be putting it on until the rough construction is finished, as not to damage it. The blocking on the left side is to support the structural post.

 

 

Back deck - just need a few more boards to finish off. The section that is completed will be the base for the future sunroom.
