November 15 - We Have Rooms!!!

The last couple of days have been very productive. It was very exciting when we went after work today and saw that the bedroom area of the house has rooms!!
To help you understand what you are looking at, (as these pictures might just look like a bunch a sticks) over every doorway and window there are headers. Headers are the horizontal frame that strengthen the openings. I will try my best to explain what you are looking at...here goes.

This picture was taken from the dining room. The hole is where the basement stairs will be. Straight ahead is the hallway to the bedrooms.

 

Bedroom #1. From the corner by the window looking into the house. The closet is on the left and the doorway to the hallway is straight ahead. (Did you spot the headers?)

 

 Bedroom #2. From the corner by the window looking into the house. The closet is to the right and the doorway to the hall is straight ahead.

Main Bathroom.

 

Master Bedroom. From the corner by the back window. The doorway on the right leads into the ensuite and the one to the left of it is our walk-in closet. To the left of that is the doorway to the hall. (You a pro at spotting headers now? lol)

 

This picture was taken just outside of the hallway with the bedrooms behind. The front door is to the left (not in picture). The window on the left will be over the washer & dryer in the mud room/laundry room. The doorway straight ahead leads into the garage. To the right is the dining room window. Henri is preparing to build the walls around the basement stairs & between the dining room and 2 piece bathroom which is in the mud room.

 

The beams to support the roof trusses for the sunroom that will be built sometime in the next few years. Window on the left (that is not totally visible) is the living room. Next are the garden doors and then the kitchen window.

The trusses were to be delivered today. When we called them this evening they told us that they would be delivered tomorrow morning for sure. The crane is booked for Monday & Tuesday to bring them to the roof. The current plan is to put the sunroom ones up tomorrow so hopefully they arrive early in the day. Stay tuned! :)
